Currently, Cortex agents created within the Automations section cannot be permanently deleted after they are created.
I would like to suggest adding a feature that allows administrators to delete Cortex agents permanently, especially those created for testing or experimentation purposes.
Without this capability, test agents accumulate over time, making the environment harder to manage and navigate. As a workaround, users must keep unused agents in the system, which creates clutter and can cause confusion when searching for active automations.
Expected Benefits:
Keep the environment clean and organized.
Remove obsolete or test agents that are no longer needed.
Improve Cortex administration and usability.
Reduce confusion when managing multiple automations.
Prevent the buildup of inactive agents over time.
Use Case: When building and testing new automations, it is common to create multiple Cortex agents before deciding on the final version. Once testing is complete, administrators should have the option to permanently remove unused agents from the environment.
Additional Suggestion: If permanent deletion is not possible due to system requirements, consider providing an Archive option that hides inactive agents from the main Automations view while preserving them for audit or recovery purposes.
